Generally, legal fees are charged on an hourly basis and appear in our Litigation Department’s terms and conditions. Rates are updated in February annually.

Fee Rate Specifications

  • Rates may be revised in urgent or unusually complex matters.

  • An uplift for weekend, Bank Holiday, and late night working may apply. You will receive notification of changes prior to work being commenced.

  • If the firm has to incur additional wages and expenses for our support staff having to work overtime in order to service such work then we reserve the right to include those as a separate item on any invoice delivered to you.

  • The firm may call upon other partners, solicitors, trainees and clerks to assist the Legal Representative in the conduct of your matter.

  • Generally we would expect a licensing application to take 1 to 3 months.

Disbursements

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as the licence fee. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.

If any other disbursements are required they will be advised before they are incurred.

Licence Fees

The licence fee is charged based on the rateable value of the property and ranges from £100.00 to £1,905.00, subject to change.
