Naz Matin
Born and raised in Canada, Naz Matin moved to London where she qualified as a solicitor and built a career defined by tenacity, precision, and an unflinching approach to dispute resolution. As Head of Litigation at Barnes and Partners Solicitors, she leads the firm’s Dispute Resolution department with a firm but fair hand, known for her no-nonsense attitude and her ability to cut straight to the heart of a case.
Naz represents both individual and corporate clients across a wide range of contentious matters, including but not limited to civil and commercial disputes, property and landlord-tenant issues, professional negligence, employment law, and contentious probate. She also handles settlement negotiations and dispute resolution with a firm but pragmatic approach, often securing favourable outcomes without the need for prolonged litigation.
Over the years, Naz has built a strong reputation for navigating complex, high-value disputes with clarity and control. Whether she’s untangling a multi-party commercial claim or resolving a contentious probate dispute, her clients value her direct communication style, tactical mindset, and relentless commitment to results.
Respected by colleagues and opponents alike, Naz brings a mix of commercial acumen, pragmatism, and genuine candour to her work, traits that make her both trusted and formidable in equal measure.
Outside of the office, Naz loves to travel, attempts to play tennis (with mixed results), and enjoys a good laugh - a necessary balance given the intensity of life in litigation.
